Bandh Darwaze

Four shut doors: a ring, a lock, a bolt, a knocker. A closed door is a door someone cared for.

A closed door keeps one world inside, and turns you toward another.

Bandh darwaze: closed doors. Four small square canvases, each a close look at the hardware of an old door, painted over worn, colour-washed wood.

No people, no rooms. Only what a hand reaches for at a threshold. Shut, but kept: the layered paint is proof of care.
